To add to what @mikeone wrote:

- Please use Internet Mail as you "account type" (where you choose between Gmail / Yahoo / Hotmail / Internet Mail / Exchange)

- After entering your email and password please tap Manual (not Next) and you'll see screens for detailed server settings

- "TLS" security type on ports 110 / 143 / 587 are called "STATTLS" in Aqua Mail (as opposed to "SSL" type security on ports 995 / 993 / 465).
