Hi guys
ok let me explain, im using a rooted s7 phone. im using this for like 2 years now and i have few email accounts where i dont have login access anymore. my previous company email contents all downloaded to my phone but i dont have access to that email anymore. so the only record i have is in my s7. i can still read my downloaded emails.
now i know i can export the email settings to a new phone. but how can i export my existing downloaded email contents to my new phone? im not planning to root my s9 thats why.
Thanks
Sam

Re: how can i export my existing downloaded email contents
Sorry we don't have a way to do this.
As you correctly noted, Aqua Mail's settings backup / restore only transfers account and app settings - the assumption being that email messages can always be re-downloaded (which requires that you still have access to your accounts).

Thank you for the prompt reply. I understand that we should have access to those email accounts in order to re-download them.. so right now, I've tried smart switch and few other backup/restore options and none of them working.. in your experience do you know any other app/method to transfer this Aqua mail data? I used titanium backup all the while and never had a problem, it's just im migrating this to a non-rooted phone, that's the problem. I know it's not related to your app, but if you have any general info, please share. If not i'll have to use 2 mobile phones, just to preserve my old email messages :/

Sorry I don't have any experience with data backup / restore, Aqua Mail's or any other app's.

Hello Kostya,
If you allow the backup as developer, it is possible to backup without root with ADB commands.
I don't know, how your settings are!?
Greats

We have backup=false because backup=true is going to be picked up by Android for automatic backup.
And we don't want that because Google explicitly prohibits apps backing up user account ID's and passwords.
