Title: Headers shown in the message list
Post by: bernie on January 20, 2018, 09:39:53 pm
In folder lists and when I view a message it only lists the subject and whom the message is from.  Is it possible to add additional headers to the display (in particular, I'd like to add the 'to' address).  Thanks!  /bernie\

Yes, subject / from / date (time) / star / read (unread) / preview / message text size / attachments and their names and total size

But no "to" sorry. What's the use case? Wouldn't that be "you" pretty much all the time?

Are you really looking for some kind of indicator if you were emailed directly (To:) or were on the CC list?

The problem is that I am on a lot of mailing lists and it is very confusing having to view-headers to figure out which list originated a particular message.   The message subject/message body can look surprisingly similar for several of the lists I'm on.  I deal with this on my POP3 main mail system on my PC by sorting the messages into different folders, but POP3 doesn't play well with server-side folders.   /Bernie\

And the idea is that the To header would identify the list?

Just so.  It'd say "to: languagelog..." or "to: excel-L" and the like.  BUT: surprisingly (how did that happen) beginning a day or two ago Aqua started displaying the 'to' header.  ????    It's like magic.. :).  As you knew, 90% of the messages simply say "To: me", but for the others it is a help. Thanks!
