I have three accounts on my cell phone - Yahoo, Gmail and a work account. I have the same notification sound for Yahoo & Gmail (downloaded mp3 notification file) and a different one for the work account (from the phone's list of sounds).
All notifications are enabled and I have the Yahoo/Gmail notification enabled under the Smart Folder settings.
Since the latest AM upgrades, the sound does not play when I receive any emails.
I can't see any setting that I'm missing. Anyone have any ideas?

I can't think of any changes in notification code in 1.13.
Is only the account specific sound not playing (for the account in which it's set) - or does the one for the work account not play either?
Since it's a *file* please check phone settings -> apps -> aqua mail -> permissions -> storage.
Also please try selecting one of the predefined sounds instead of the .mp3 - it's not that there are any known issues with *files*, and the app really doesn't care where a sound comes from, but just as a test?

I changed to a phone sound, that didn't work. Wonder if i should uninstall and reinstall the app.

Um, maybe, and maybe try to redo the settings.
It's hard for me to give better recommendations - lacking answers to my questions above.

Sorry Kostya -- forget to let you know about your questions.
Aqua Mail permission is activated and there's no notification sound for any of the three accounts.

OK - I uninstalled and reinstalled and that fixed the problem.
Back to being able to use the downloaded notification for Gmail and Yahoo accounts.

Andorid has per-app setting (in Phone Settings -> Apps) to "enable notifications" (or not) and it's really easy to turn off accidentally, so maybe that was it?
And I believe Samsung has an additional checkbox there to allow sounds (or not). Weird.
