Here's a strange one! . . .
* PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SCREEN SHOT TO THIS POST
SYMPTOMS:
(a) The "SMART FOLDER" is only showing exactly 50 messages
(b) The "Inbox" shows 850 messages . . . and keeps growing!
(c) When I click "select all" (my goal is to delete everything in that "Inbox", it just selects 50 messages . . . and instead of a trash can icon on the bottom toolbar, it shows what looks like a human eye with a slash through it.
(d) I ALREADY set the "MESSAGE LIST" like this:
* Message List
* Select ALL messages
* Change this setting to "LOADED" messages (not "displayed')
WANTED:
(a) Show ALL messages
(b) Be able to quickly (1 step) select ALL of them
(c) Delete them all COMPLETELY from server . . . withOUT moving to "delete" folder first.
Thanks.

1 - shown message counts
The app typically (for IMAP and Exchange, not POP3) will show you *server* counts for both unread and total number of messages.
If your account is POP3 - you may want to long press on the account -> options and folders -> account options -> enable "remove deleted messages" so that any messages deleted from the server are also removed from the app (this is already on by default for IMAP and Exchange).
- select all
App settings -> message list -> select all means -> tap and change from "visible messages" to "loaded messages".
