Title: How to set AM to open links in Chrome directly, not in skinned browser window?
Post by: tyroaqdome on December 02, 2017, 05:31:11 pm
On my Android 6.0.1 phone, in AquaMail version 1.12.0-651,
http links in an email don't open with my regular Chrome.
Instead, they open in a browser window that has an AquaMail
skin. Unfortunately, the 3-dot menu of these skinned windows
lacks many of the usual Chrome options. At the bottom of the
3-dot menu is "Open in Chrome" but I'd like to set AquaMail
to open links directly in Chrome, bypassing the skinned
browser. I haven't yet found this option in AquaMail's settings.
That option seems likely to exist because AquaMail so highly
configurable.

How would I set AquaMail to open links directly in the regular
Chrome interface, outside of AquaMail?

The "skinned browser" is actually Chrome too. It's called "chrome tabs".

Re: I haven't yet found this option in AquaMail's settings.

App settings -> message view -> open web links in Aqua Mail

( btw, did you know that the settings screen has search? )

Even if it's Chrome, we have to log in separately and it does not appear in the history. That's impractical.
Also, I see this forum post as a Google result, and when I click on it it opens Aquamail, just normally, and does not show this post. This also makes no sense. I get to this post by opening it in an incognito tab.
