It only run mail check if I click on AquaMail icon.
Android 7.1
I have tested on Wi-Fi and Cellular data.

1 minute mail check interval?
You're better off going to 15 minutes and enabling push mail for this account.
It's possible that Android keeps the app from running since it's trying to run so often.
For other possible reasons, please see the FAQ (link below), just search the page for "app not checking mail" please, it's near the end.

can push mail notify me as soon as new mails arrive?
the reason I have "1 minute mail check" because I want to know if I have new mails.

what is the mail check interval timer for?

"Scheduled mail checks" - not push.
- Push mail - the app is supposed to "catch up" to any server side changes "near instantly" (new messages but not only, also messages changing read/unread, starred, deleted, etc.)
- Scheduled mail checks - the app "connects" and "checks mail" every N minutes / hours and gets, all at once, all the changes since last time.
