Title: Hotmail issues Error checking mail / Invalid server response

Hi,

first of all my native language isn't English so bare with me here.

I have been using Aqua Mail for months now on my Samsung galaxy core prime. I even bought the pro unlocker. A few days ago I reset my phone to factory settings and I got my email set back up with the backup I had made before the reset. All was working fine. Now 2 days later suddenly my email gave me an error. "Error checking mail: Folder is missing on the server: BAD User is authenticated but not connected.." So I ended up deleting aqua mail, and reinstalled it from the play store. Tried setting up my hotmail email ....@hotmail.com and I get "Account check error incoming mail server (IMAP): Invalid server response. Please make sure your settings are correct."

So again I deleted everything, tried again. even tried setting it up manually and using the different options for SSL etc, still the same issue. So I tried with my 2nd email account ...@live.nl which I made after hotmail changed to live. I had both accounts in the app and both were working fine. When I set up the live account I can continue and it is working. emails are coming in etc.

I even installed blue mail to see if it was happening anywhere else and even the standard email app that comes with the android phones. Both are fine handling the hotmail account. And I noticed I got an email from outlook saying I could download outlook for android or I could use another app. So I clicked on the link saying use different app and I got taken to a page and it says "We've noticed that you'd prefer not to use the Outlook Mobile App. Outlook. com will resume syncing with your device. Thank you. The outlook team."

So what on earth is going on?? Aqua mail can't set up my hotmail account but it can set up my live account. Blue mail and the standard mail app can both do the hotmail account. So why not aqua mail anymore? It was working fine yesterday and over night it quit working. I didn't change anything!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! The hotmail one is my main account and I need it to work. I don't want to use the standard mail app or blue mail or any other app. I have gotten used to aqua mail, I even purchased the pro version. So I want to use it. I am literally freaking out!

There is something bad going on with Live / Outlook right now.

The issue in on Microsoft's side, goes back to 2014 or so, and there is a new outbreak right now.
