Title: Security of stored emails on Android
Post by: MastahG on August 15, 2017, 10:19:21 pm
Hey there.
I have to use my handy now to get emails from work. Exchange, DynDNS.
Aquamail works so good. Congratulations for this app. really good :)

I dont want to secure my handy with a lock screen.
So I like, that i can enter a pin on Aquamail.

What about the email database?
Are the mails stored on my HTC M8?. When i copy the database or the mails via USB, can i read them on a pc?
Can i encrypt the email database?

Thanks for your infos :)

The emails are stored in the phone's "internal memory" in an app-specific directory, and the database file cannot be copied to the PC or accessed by other apps (unless your phone is rooted).

Thanks for your answer.

Let´s say the handy will be stolen.
No normal user can read the emails without the pin?

Thank you :)
