Hello,
* First of all: congratulations for this very useful and highly configurable e-mail application ! Great work !
* And now to the point of my question:
When there is notification for multiple new e-mail, pressing the notification AquaMail tab opens the list of messages of the account (showing of course the unread messages in bold) => OK: expected action.
However, when there is notification for only one new e-mail, pressing the notification AquaMail tab opens this new message itself (in place of the list)... Is there a way to also show the list of messages (in place of directly opening the message itself) as action when notification tab is pressed ?
[AquaMail pro version used on Android Nougat version]

From the notification, Aquamail goes to the area that is the "closest" to the message(s) shown in the notification: For one message - to that message; for several messages within the same folder - to the message list; for several messages from different folders - to the folder list (that's essentially the account list with the particular account's folders expanded (IIRC); for messages from different accounts - to the account list.
This is to avoid an extra step(s).
I don't think you can change that behavior.
However, as far as I know (I don't use widgets myself) you can set up a widget, and that would consistently open Aquamail in the folder you set up for that widget.

StR is right - the app takes you to the "closest" place in the app (the "distance" is "from what's in the notification").

Thank you very much for your fast and useful reply.
The behaviour that I have reported is therefore not a bug and is well consistent with the "point to the closest place in the application" => OK.
For information: If I don't want to open directly the e-mail I can press the AquaMail icon which will open the list (if configured like that).
