Title: Resend mail when error occurs [RESOLVED]
Post by: fredericomaia on July 08, 2017, 06:25:06 am
I would like to know how to specify a time for automatic re-sending of an email. Sending for the first time failed to send. Then this email gets in the draft box and is not re-sent. How can I enable it to be sent automatically?

Thanks,

From my observation, - unless there is an error that requires user's input (e.g. SSL certificate changed, wrong password), Aquamail would try to resend the message during the next sync (scheduled or on event).

I don't know what would happen if only Push is enabled, while all scheduled (and on event) sync is disabled.

It will retry either way -- with scheduled sync on, or with push on and scheduled sync off. But something has to be on.

But it also depends on the error -- e.g. a missing attachment file is a critical error, same with exceeding the mail server's maximum message size, and a few others.
