I use multiple accounts in AquaMail, all IMAP. I want to create a single 'Pending' folder to put pending items in, regardless of which account they arrive to. I want to sync this folder so that I can see it and use it in Mail on my Mac too. Typical 'workflow' is that an email arrives into one of my Inboxes, I review it and something needs doing dependent on someone or something else, so I don't want it cluttering my Inbox, but still need to have it available for periodic checking. I'm using the "Getting Things Done" idea... billzipponbusiness. com /5-folders-the-simple-system-for-getting-your-email-inbox-to-zero/
I've created a subfolder under the Inbox of one of my accounts and can see it in AquaMail and Mac Mail. Using Mac Mail, I can drag any emails to that folder, and then see them all in that folder using AquaMail. However, I can't find a way of moving an email from a different account to that folder using AquaMail.
I could of course create a Pending folder for each of my nine accounts, but that dramatically increases the time taken to check and deal with pending emails.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Dominic

Com"on! What "cons"? (Except for one topic fewer to complain about. ;D )

Hello again ;),
please distinguish between:
- Move a message from a account to ANOTHER account (like TO wants to do)
AND
- Move a message to another folder within the SAME account.
Last one seems to be easier to do (right?). Less cons, but already a big pro for the user.
Last one is this what I personally need. (More than a TTS feature :))
In general:
The app "MailDroid" already provides the feature requested above. Does anybody know wether users or dev made bad experiences? (I don't know).

Oh shit... Sorry. Was totally confused.
I was thinking about:
"Copy a message to another folder within the same account".
Please excuse and forget what wrote... I'm sorry.

Com"on! What "cons"? (Except for one topic fewer to complain about. ;D )
Cons:
- a server administrator will not like to see spam messages moved from another account into his/her server
- a user moving a "recent" message (recent because on the top of list, however received a long time ago) to another account with other messages from the same conversation (sent/received also long time ago) will think that there's a bug since this message will "disappear" from the recent messages in the target avvount, because linked to the (old) conversation
- time to develop
- UI to display target account folders
Etc.
I don't see a smiley there. Are you serious? A con of implementing something is the fact that you have to implement it?
Then in every decision-making analysis there would be a "con": We'll have to do it. And then we'll all die. ;)
The rest of the factors are not really problems of Aquamail. As you know, moving messages between accounts is implemented, e.g. in Thunderbird. Have you heard/read complaints from anybody about the fact that it is implemented (not about some implementation problems)?
And I would even argue that some problems are not problems at all. Why would a sysadmin would care if someone moved a spam message from a different server?! That sounds like a bogus argument or screwed up sysadmin (or settings where one would care about that). A sysadmin shouldn't even know what messages you have on his/her server.

Sorry Aqua at this time cannot 1) move messages between accounts or 2) copy messages between folders (same or diff. accounts).
Yes I am aware that Thunderbird can do it and I'm sure it's not the only one.
Just not this mail app, sorry.
