When I loaded Aquamail into my Samsung Chromebook Plus it worked OK except that my Gmail contacts were not imported. The contacts from a second account (an exchange server account) were imported. How can I get my Gmail contacts into Aquamail?

For Gmail please add your Gmail account into the device's Settings -> Accounts and enable contact sync there (if it's off).

Hi,
I have a similar problem with my Kobo tablet where my Gmail contacts are not imported. I search everywhere in my tablet settings but there is no such thing as "enable contact sync" for the gmail account, Ma sister has the same problem (same tablet). Could it be enable somewhere else ? (Android 4.1.1)

Well, first step would be to add your Gmail account into the phone's Settings under Accounts.
And then you can tap into that account and turn off Email sync and keep Contact sync.
If your tablet doesn't come with Gmail or Google Services -- perhaps there is a third party Contacts app that can connect to Google's Contacts and sync them (this is only a reasonable guess, as there are third party apps that do this for Calendar).

Guys, I have the same problem on my Huawei M5 tablet too. The contacts synchronisation is is on for the device, native Contacts app displays them, but Aqua Mail doesn't. My secondary Exchange account displays it's contacts well. Please advice.

Please check that Aqua Mail has the permission to access Contacts. Tablet settings -> apps -> tap into Aqua -> permissions.

Yes, the app has all required permissions. Is it possible to switch on an extra logging for such situations?

Is it just the compose screen - or also the message lists?
Do you get a sender (contact) image next to each email in your message lists? Do these include images from your Contacts (if they exist)?

Sorry, the issue is that my Huawei Mediapad M5 doesn't want to synchronise Google contacts properly even if this synchronisation is switched on for the device.
