Title: Exchange - multiple contacts folders
Post by: Kutschman on June 02, 2017, 03:04:16 pm
Hello there!

Is it in any way possible to sync two or more contact folders? It seems like the app only syncs the "main" contacts folder - not the one I additionally created (e.g. internal/external addresses)

The stock app on my Sony Xperia and Huawei syncs every folder, so does gmail, bluemail, etc.
But I'd love to use Aquamail...

Best regards
Jens

Didn't know you could have multiple Contacts folders in Exchange (Aqua already supports multiple for Calendar folders).

How do entries in these "secondary" folders look in the Contacts app? There isn't anything to represent them on Android (AFAIK), how there is for Calendar's...

In any case I'll file a "task" for this, but a clarification would be useful.

There is no separation in the Android contacts app itself. The contacts get listed as if they were in the same folder.
I just find it very useful to organize them that way on my desktop/outlook.

Edit: Just changed my outlook sorting from using folders to using categories, so now it syncs all contacts.
Nevertheless it would be a "nice to have" in a future update.

Got it. Thanks.

I have the same problem, that I don't see any contacts from other folders. Would be perfect if you can fix this :)

Did get done in 1.11 (the version we're currently in the process of releasing) but I hope to get to it in the next cycle (version 1.12).

I suspect you forgot "not", and it should read:

Yes did *not* get done in 1.11 -- but did get done today, and I'm going to start posting new "1.12-dev" builds reasonably soon (hopefully next week).

Hello,

normally I have only one Folder called "Kontakte". (MS Exchange) Now I have setting up a new Phone and now Aquamail created and used own Folder called "Contacts".

But this Folder is empty, the correct folder Kontakte don't sync. What can I do now?

Edit: interesting on my old phone is now the same. I have save some contacts in my exchange an all this saved in Folder Contacts not Kontakte.

Regards
