How can I see images which are embedded in a mail? I see only placeholders. Can yu help me?

There should be a panel / button just below the message header (from / subject / sender image) and the message's text to "show linked images".
To always show linked images please:
- App settings -> message view -> under spam control of linked images -> show only from known -> turn off
- App settings -> network -> under both WiFi and Mobile -> show images -> turn on

I did so - but no success!

I do not see this panel/button below the message header, look at the attaced screenshot. Is there something wrong?

Looks like you got your settings right and it's not the app.
Are linked images failing to load in only some messages (from same sender, or something else in common) or all of them?
Do you use any "privacy protection" or "anti-virus" apps?

Oh and would it be possible for us to get a sample message?

It would be best if you could forward as an .eml attachment (can be done in desktop mail apps, e.g. Outlook if you use them) --
-- or if not, if you could "view original" (original source code of a message) in your mail provider's web mail (web site), copy/paste into a plain text file and send also as an attachment.

That was a good point. Our support team had installed an ad-blocker (adblock plus). Removing this app has fixed the problems.
