Title: Restore from Google Drive? It's grayed out.
Post by: Ginaccc on May 17, 2017, 05:01:44 pm
I want to put all my mail accounts on my tablet. I backed up aqua mail from my phone to Google Drive. The folder is there. When I open aqua mail on my tablet and try to restore, and it says no folder found and the restore button is Grey. On my phone, it will back up from that folder. Is the back up device  specific or something? That would be really handy to restore instead of putting these accounts on one by one.

It might be related to how Google Drive app is working on your tablet (due to a specific Android version, or launcher, or the ROM) . You will probably get a response about that soon.
In the mean, I can suggest a workaround: In the Google Drive app (or in Files app), copy that backup file (Aquamail.accounts.backup) from Google Drive to the tablet's internal drive (or better yet, create a folder "backups" on the internal drive, and copy the backup file to it).
Then restore your configuration in Aquamail from the internal drive.

Re: Drive to the tablet's internal drive (or better yet, create a folder "backups" on the internal drive, and copy the backup file to it).

Correction: if you download the backup file yourself, please place it under:

<storage> -> backup -> AquaMail

for the app to see it.

Where <storage> is the "root" of your built-in memory partition (disk drive), with top level directories like Download, DCIM, Android, etc.
