Title: Email custom check interval
Post by: markho on May 16, 2017, 06:49:43 pm
Hi, I have  sync issues with my app. Even when I set 1 hour check interval, app keeps checking emails randomly, sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 20, 40 minutes. There is never same interval between app checks for the new email. Can please somebody help me and explain what am I doing wrong? I am adding screenshots from Settings -> Mail, receiving.

Thank you.

Mark

I recommend to set/change the following settings:

-> Settings -> Mail, receiving ->
'Mail check intervall' = 1 hour
'Custom check intervall' = Not specified (00:00)
'Time reference point' = 00:00
'Settle in" delay' = None
'When the app is active' = enabled
'Event types' = None

You have Push enabled. It means that in addition to the scheduled sync, the app maintains a constant connection to the server, and receives an immediate notification when a new message(s) arrives, and downloads that messages in accordance to your preferences.
(Note that this happens only to a subset of your folders, "Inbox" only by default, compared to the scheduled sync that, I believe, also includes "Sent", "Drafts" by default.)
