Title: Match Quoting Header format exactly to my need
Post by: rainbow1977 on May 09, 2017, 08:06:21 am
I have AquaMail Pro. There are differences between header on emails sent from AquaMail and our organization standard Outlook 2013 header format.
I typically reply/forward lot of emails on-the-go. And don't want this different AquaMail header standing out in the flow.
I have attached screenshot. You can notice 3 differences
1. spacing
2. separator line
3. fonts
Is there way to customize AquaMail headers further to match format I want?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @rainbow1977,

You could check the 'Customizing options' in:
-> Settings -> Composing and sending -> 'Quoting header format' and 'Quoting headers'

I am trying MS Outlook in Quoting Header format which produces format that I attached in first post on this thread.
So what AquaMail produces is not matching my needs.

Now I am thinking, this could be feature limitation of AquaMail.

In "quoting features" please turn off "indent replies" and enable "horizontal line".

That should be quite close to Outlook for Windows.

Now please note that we don't make claims anywhere that this will produce "quote headers" that are *exactly* same as in Outlook.

Close - yes.

Exactly - no.

In particular - different Outlook versions have subtly different "quote header" formatting, also between Outlook for Windows vs. Outlook for Mac (to the best of my knowledge, I don't own a Mac).

Ok thank you. Would it be too much to ask a feature to tinker individual field fonts and spacing? If not - please consider.
Horizontal line, I am less worried about.
