Title: Notifications during battery save mode
Post by: nosiath on April 23, 2017, 06:37:14 am
Hi,

When I activate battery save mode, I no longer get email notifications. I have set push settings even when background data is off.
Any ideas ?

Yeah just please don't "activate battery save mode".

Just think about it - unless you believe in magic, the only way that "save battery" can work is by preventing apps from doing what they'd otherwise be doing.

correct answer is to allow aquamail to work in the background and exclude it from doze :)

That's why that answer is in the FAQ (http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=227) (under "Persistent network errors or the app not checking mail (any phone, with specifics for Android 6+, Xiaomi MIUI, Huawei)"

I hear there are email app that will *charge* the battery - the more you use them!

If you wrote that app too, - we can set up an electric power plant by feeding all the spam sent to a honey-pot account. That'll make much more money than Aqua...
