Title: Per account WiFi vs Mobile settings
Post by: StR on December 19, 2016, 09:49:15 am
Last week, I was setting a new IMAP account in Aquamail.
I needed to have separate (different) settings for sync settings for different accounts (sync on WiFi only vs sync on WiFi+mobile connection).
I realized this capability was not there (at least not in my "sweet-spot" version).
Hence, the question:
Does the current version have this capability? (I am vaguely remembering that it might have been added in one of the late 1.6.x versions. Or, maybe it was something else...)

There is an app level setting (not per account) to "do scheduled checks on WiFi only".

And there is an account level option (not app level) to "use push on WiFi only".

But there is no account level option for "scheduled checks on WiFi only", sorry.

PS - if you use Tasker, you could drive the account specific "do scheduled checks" option from there and flip it back and forth when WiFi connects / disconnects.

Kostya, I am curious: there are many per-account options ranging from checking e-mail to some extremely cosmetic ones (appearance, colors, etc.). But there is no per-account option for this functional option.

Use case: one account is "important" (say, business, or close family), and the rest of the accounts are not as important. So, one wants to receive updates while on the road for the first one, and not for half a dozen others (to save the battery, mobile data, minimize interference with the navigation apps, ..)

PS. I am not using tasker.

Well, what can I say... Yes it's logical, as to why it's not there now - I don't know!

I've written it down :)
