Title: "Mark All as Unread" doesn't prompt for confirmation

Yes, this is the command "Mark all read". However, the command mentioned by the OP ("Mark All as Unread") doesn't exist. 8)

Those are not destructive operations, I don't feel they warrant the extra "nuisance" of a confirmation.

PS - "mark all read" in a folder has a confirmation, it is "destructive" -- you won't know what messages you've read and which ones you haven't, and may miss something important.

I understand the logic, but I disagree with the last argument that "mark all read" is destructive, while "mark all unread" is not. They are either both destructive, or both non-destructive.
Obviously, after marking all read, one can mark all unread, but if the first one was destructive, the second one (making all "unread") will not "cure" it.

But there is no "mark all unread" anywhere in the app, and there is a "mark all read" (for which there is a confirmation).

One could argue that selecting some set of messages and unintentionally marking them "starred" or "not starred" is equally "destructive".

Or that sending an email to your boss or ex when drunk is "destructive", maybe even more so.

I see your point now. This explanation makes sense.
(I never mark all messages one way or the other.)
