Title: Email notification plays random song from SD card
Post by: K.Van on November 12, 2016, 06:05:25 pm
This just began, I have 4 accounts in Aqua Mail, a couple of days ago one account started playing a random son as the notification. I checked all notification settings (been using AM for years) and all were set to a sound.
I uninstalled the app and re-installed, reloaded my backup settings from 6-12 months ago and still got the strange random song.
The fix I found was to delete the account and re-add it manually (not restore it from the backup).

As of today I have 4 accounts with the proper notifications.

Galaxy S7 6.0.1 (Stock)
Music App - PowerAmp (I uninstalled this thinking I did some strange setting and it didn't seem to help)

Um, maybe this was some other app, some sort of "notification enhancement"? Esp. since you've tried the backup?

But it's worth mentioning that there are two places in the app with notification settings:

- App settings -> message notifications, applies to all accounts (by default) unless:

- Optional per-account override, for this please long press on an account -> Special settings -> you'll see a few types of settings, notifications one of them, which can be set for a specific account, taking priority over "app" settings.
