I have selected the option to check email only when connected to WiFi in the app settings. Is it possible to set one account to check mail always?

As far as I've seen, the upcoming Google Play version will have per-account option for "PUSH on Wi-Fi only". This is in "Google-beta" version now:

As far as I can tell, "Sync on Wi-Fi only" is only available in the main Aquamail settings, and not separately for each account. And, I haven't seen any recent changes to this "Sync on Wi-Fi only" option.
I agree, it would be nice to be able to configure it separately for different accounts.

Yes, sorry the "sync" on WiFi only -- applies to all accounts.
Are even regular scheduled mail checks too "expensive" on mobile for you? Slow mobile connection, too much traffic, ???

Use cases:
1. While roaming (say internationally), but when one account is still important for timely messages, while the rest aren't.
2. When there are many (secondary) e-mail accounts that aren't that important, and you can read them once per day. Yes, one can set them to sync once every 24 hours.
3. When you have high-volume (but low-importance) accounts that you don't want to sync on mobile network, and you are on the road for a large portion of the day, especially when you are traveling in rural area with limited network bandwidth that you need for other, more critical at the moment communication (e.g. connection to navigation/map servers).

Yes, those are good reasons.
I guess that until now, it was my understanding that people would exclude such accounts from scheduled sync at all -- in the per-accont "options and folders" -> "account options" -- and then "refresh all" in the app when they get home (get connected to hotel WiFi, etc.)

That's exactly how I've been doing, and never raised this issue myself.
(But it was one of the reasons of why I haven't moved one of the accounts from the stock app to Aquamail.)
But now, after the separation of church and state moving of Push on Wi-Fi only option to the per-account, it would make sense that syncing on Wi-Fi is also moved there (or enabled as "special configurations" for each account, which I personally would prefer).
In any case, it is not a high priority issue.
