Title: What happens to spam?
Post by: handygeek on August 11, 2016, 04:12:09 am
If I open an email & select "Move to Spam", are all of that Sender's emails supposed to be treated as Spam?

I have tried "Move to Spam" and "Delete permanently" & the spam keeps showing up in my inbox from the same senders.

Help?

Thanks!

Please have a look into this thread to get some more information about "spam handling":

Thanks - I read that & posted a follow-up there.

I did see a bunch of links to handling spam via Android email apps but don;t have time to chase them just now and am not allowed to post URL's to the forum, for some reason.

What about a Blacklist & Whitelist on the phone?
That keeps it local - which I believe AquaMail.
This would provide a reference file for a script to filter incoming email.
It would be user-managed so no AquaMail spam-tracking burden.
WDYT?

No filtering is done in Aquamail. This functionality is left to the server.

It was a user request.

OR, may users write scripts to add functionality?

Sorry no user scripts or filters right now and as for requests -- sorry again, my to-do is quite full, everything coming from user requests as well.
