Title: How do I force a folder to resync completely
Post by: labrown on June 04, 2016, 06:22:12 pm
How can I force AquaMail to resync a folder completely?

I read my IMAP mail on both my phone and on a desktop (via Thunderbird).  My email is served via a recent version of Dovecot by IMAP and usually things stay in sync between Thunderbird and Aquamail.  Occasionally, I see messages I deleted in Thunderbird remain in my inbox folder in AquaMail on my Samsung Note5.  When this happens no amount of 'refreshing' the folder will correct the problem.  The only thing I've found to do is to delete them manually from Aquamail.

Is there a way to force Aquamail to completely refresh a folder?

Thanks,

Greetings,

In the process of going through and detailing my Thunderbird and Aquamail settings, I found the problem.

In 'Account Options' under my email account in AquaMail the 'Remove deleted messages" check box was turned OFF.  The one that says "Remove local copies of messages no longer on the server".  Turning that on and syncing my account caused the deleted-on-the-server messages to go away.

Thanks!

Great, thanks. Yep, that's the setting...
