From time to time users tell me that "the app's design looks dated".
Well, here you go. New icons. For "material" theme only.
- They are smaller (24 vs. 32 px before)
- Taken from here: https://design.google.com/icons/ this is as "official" as it gets
Also made font size smaller in a few places (search history, nav drawer, account list dropdown on the compose screen), I guess this is also "more moderner".
Also only for the Material theme.
Can be installed "over" 1.6.2.1 and "back" without a full reinstall.
Please let me know if I'd missed any icons, easy to spot wrong size (larger).

Хм, ладно. Новые иконки. Только для "материальной" темы.
- Они меньше (было 32 px стало 24)
- Взяты отсюда: https://design.google.com/icons/ источник настолько "официальный" насколько это возможно
Также уменьшил размер шрифта в некоторых местах (история поиска, боковая панель, список учёток на экране написания), кажется это тоже "более современно".
Тоже только в "материальной" теме.
Можно ставить "поверх" 1.6.2.1 и "обратно", без полной переустановки.
Хотелось бы знать если я где-то пропустил какую-то иконку, она будет другого (большего) размера.

Thanks for the new build and new icons. Looks great. Could be more modern but it is a lot nicer already ;)
I also like the way the font looks.
I'm testing new conversation options but it does not work correct and emails from same sender are not bundle in conversation.
Look at the screenshots.

The new grouping is by "sender + subject" -- same sender + subject.
In your screenshot, the subjects (for messages from Coolblue) appear to be different.

Is it not possible to group all messages from cool blue?
Or if you receive messages with same header name, all playstore purchases grouped. So messages by company name?? That would be nice.

Прям "назад в 2007". Можете его заменить на Material? (такой как в последней версии 'Google Фото', но с фирменным 'синеньким' бэкграундом и белыми стрелочками.)
З.Ы. Я думаю можно чутка изменить Navigation Drawer. Сделать его более "материальным" что-ли. По новым гайдлайнам, при открытии NavDrawer'а, он должен перекрывать toolbar. Быть "выше" всего приложения. Яркий пример — Google Play Маркет v. 6.x.

Funny - icons now appear slightly undersized relative to height of top/bottom bar on two devices (high and low res 7" tablets occupying opposite ends of spectrum). Looks great on mobile!

Similar observations, especially noticeable on high res tab yielding excess padding around items in nav drawer. Looks fine on mobile. Especially like the smaller size in search history.
Comment: As an older user I appreciate the larger elements offered in Aqua. Be careful going too small, especially where user adjustment isn't an option.

Да, да, да, но там жопа (передаю по буквам, Ж-О-П-А) если его совмещать с некоторым другими элементами интерфейса.
Есть Design Support Library в которой "это просто работает" но вылезают другие гнусности если хоть немного отклониться от "линии партии".
Так что это на будущее.

Проблема том, где её брать.
Для учёток @gmail можно получить что задано пользователем.
А остальные? Придётся пихать какую-то "общую", она кому-то не будет нравиться, и вообще, одинаковая на все учётные записи...

I'm not 100% sure that I like the smaller size. But again, this is The Official Standard these days.

Да, похоже.
Но мне теперь кажется что я и сам сумею (но спасибо!), там ещё нужна тень (которая у меня уже есть) и стрелочки чтобы синие.
И ещё чтобы весь элемент был полупрозрачным, т.к. он поверх текста или списка сообщений.
Он же, только горизонтальный вариант, в двух-панельном режиме чтобы менять размеры панелей.

This has nothing to do with recent 'icons' dev builds and demonstates that I have no life:
With any theme other than "Light (Material Design)" the word 'Inbox' in the top bar appears in ALL CAPS when in message view. It does not happen with any other folder.
How's that for obscure and irrelevant. :)
(Noticed this while testing recent 'icons' builds)
