Title: Google contacts group sync
Post by: valgarf on May 14, 2016, 04:58:15 pm
Please if anyone can help me

I have an IMAP account for my business, I installed this app and was pleased to see I can send mails to my Gmail contact groups, I create some new groups in my Google account and they automatically synched with the aquamail app.

But now I can't figure it out why this syncing is not working anymore, I create groups in Google contacts and can't see them on the groups tab to send email
I have try syncing the contacts in several different ways, but nothing is happening

Does anyone know what can I do?

Regards!

Contact synchronization (with Google accounts) is handled by Android / Google not AquaMail.

For this to work, the account has to be added into the phone's system setting as such (a Google account).

Once this is done, you can go back into system settings -> accounts -> Google -> tap the account to show the list of all the various things which are set up to sync with Google's cloud (such as: Play TV, Magazines, Google Fit, etc. etc. etc.) and turn off "Email" keeping only "Contacts".
