Title: Writing Mail, Adressfield no name, but Mailadress
Post by: alpha01 on February 04, 2016, 10:42:25 pm
Hello, I use Aqua Mail Pro for a few days only. I have some mail recipients with multiple email addresses. If I write an e-mail to multiple recipients and in the end all controlling, is because unfortunately, only the name, not the mail address. So I do not know if I have written to the proper address.

So what I lack is writing up the specification of mail address, not the name !!!
Or you can set somewhere? Thank you!

I use Google with IMAP!

Antworten auch gern in deutsch!
Replies to make in German!

Entschuldigen Sie, ich spreche kein Deutsch.

Tri-dot Menu -> Settings -> Contacts ->    [Composing and sending] "Contact chips" - disable it (uncheck), and you will see the e-mail addresses.

I hope this helps.

Thanks StR:

Mikeone

But also, if you keep Contact Chips enabled -- once you've "autocompleted" an address, you can tap it (the "chip") and the app will 1) show the actual email and 2) let you pick among multiple emails of same contact.

Another tip:

Android Contacts has this concept of "primary" (email, phone) when there is more than one. AquaMail's autocompletion offers the "primary one" first.

The exact method for marking an email as "primary" can vary with Android version, device manufacturer, etc. -- but this would be in the phone's Contacts app, if you open a contact for editing.

Thanks, but I do'nt know exactly, what "Contact-Chips" are in German, but I suspect what might be meant.

And I don't have any Google-Contacts, my Contacts are only saved in Microsoft Outlook on the PC and I sync the phone with MyPhoneExplorer.

Have a nice day!

Sorry, my English is not so good, ... many years ago. ;)

Hi,
You might see the difference in the attached screenshots:
#1 - email address as "Contact chips"
#2 - email address as "pure text"

Thanks, now I know what it means 1. contact chip and 2. pure text.

So, what I want is pure text (Mail-Adr.) and I disabled the contact-chip.

Chips are a part of Google's "Material design".

You will find some more information about "Chips" on this page:

Hmm, I'll have to check if I'm using "13sp Roboto Regular 87% black".

If not, it would be JUST HORRIBLE!!!
