Title: Different Sync Schedules
Post by: vikrambs on November 27, 2012, 03:50:13 pm
Hello,

Is there a way to define sync schedule differently during night/weekends for a POP3 account. Like in my stock app, during day hours i have sync every 10 mins and between 11PM to 6AM its sync every 1 hour. I see there is a setting to suppress notifications. Can I also define sync differently.

Kindly let me know.
Thanks,
Vikram

Sorry, not at this time. You can skip checking mail altogether on weekends or during the night.

I should note that the app has Tasker integration, you can change its settings and run a mail check, so for ultimate flexibility, it's probably worth a look.

Yes with Tasker this is possible.
But i also see in the accounts special settings, under synchronisation settings, a special setting for this account with a mail check interval.

So maybe this option has been added since the start of this topic, and is this topic not notified by that change.

Yes, you can have a per-account "special setting" with a different mail check interval. This has been there for a while.

However, the original question was about a different night/weekend mail check interval.

O yes I see now. Sorry for that. Tasker will let you put in the special schedule for the night. Even per account.
But I don't understand why someone would want an email while they are sleeping. So suppressing should be enough.

Personally, I leave mail checking on all night, so I can instantly see after waking up, or if I have insomnia... Different users have different preferences, though.
