Where are the  messae notification sounds   stored for aquamail?  John :)

They are not stored *in* AquaMail.

The list of sounds in the "pick a notification sound" preference is whatever is baked into your particular Android version by the device manufacturer.

Some file manager type apps are also capable of picking sounds (sound files), then those app will show too when you tap the setting.
