Title: Can I add a folder from POP3 account?
Post by: robertfah on October 15, 2015, 05:19:01 pm
I'm trying to add a folder that I created on my GoDaddy account in Aqua Mail, yet I don't see how to do it. I've looked in the account settings, and also looked in Folder Options but I didn't see a place to "sync folders" or add folders.  I can do this with my hotmail account through the app so why is there a difference?  Can anyone help me out?

POP3 protocol does not allow users to add folders. This is true in AquaMail, and in other applications following this protocol. Now some apps may have added other possibilities, but this is not required by POP3 protocol.

Bummer!  Thanks for the quick response!   ;)

IIRC, GoDaddy supports IMAP. (But I've never used them, so, maybe I'm wrong.)

Yes, they do, and a very nice person from GoDaddy, here on this forum, promised to look into why their IMAP server so often "misses" recent incoming messages.
