Title: AM always opens to Smart Folder

unrooted Verizon Note 3, Android 5.0 (latest)
AM 1.5.9.10

No matter what I do, AquaMail opens to the Smart Folder.

I used to use AM to read three accounts, but I only read one now, so I unchecked Smart Folder (Settings->Smart Folder) and told AM to "Start the app in" my remaining POP account's Inbox (Settings->Look and feel).

Every time I start AM, it starts in the Smart Folder.  I've tried all different combinations of re-enabling Smart Folder and changing the start folder, and rebooting, but no matter what I do, AM always starts in the Smart Folder.

BTW, I'd rather use the account's Inbox because I use hiding items a lot, and there is no "restore hidden" in the Smart Folder.

Thanks for any help you can provide, sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

Are you perhaps launching the app from a home screen widget?

And this widget is configured to "point to" the smart folder?

If so, just remove it and add the app's icon (not a widget) to the home screen...

I knew it was simple...thanks.
I was using the AM widget; it wasn't configured to point to the Smart Folder, just to "All accounts," but the net effect was to open the Smart Folder.  I haven't changed the widget since I started; I started with one account, then added the two other accounts, then turned on Smart Folder, then deleted the two accounts and turned off Smart Folder and now the widget opens to the Smart Folder even though it's turned off in AM.

Thanks for showing me how to fix it.

Removing the widget and adding it again should be solve this issue.

Actually, I just reconfigured the widget to point explicitly to the inbox of my remaining account, and that worked.

Thanks Mike,

Definitely my oversight.  But it still seems to me that the widget shouldn't take you to a folder that is disabled (Smart Folder).  Also, perhaps in the widget, "All accounts" should be renamed to "Smart Folder."

Thanks again... AM is my most used and favorite Android app - ever!

"All accounts" is different from "Smart Folder" -- you may have just some accounts / folders enabled for the smart folder, not all of them.
