Title: Sync issues in Android 5.1
Post by: manbearpig on August 04, 2015, 01:28:20 am
Hi,

I have been using Aquamail Pro. for my work mails for quite some time, am very happy with it. Am using a Nexus 5 phone. Recently after upgrading to 5.11, am noticing an issue wherein the emails don't sync. I went through the threads and checked all the settings in Accounts and "Restrict Background data" though the issue still persists. The app doesn't sync and show notifications at all (in both screen  off and screen mode).

Request your help. Let me know if you require more information.

Thanks so much

Hi,

There is no error which is being generated by aquamail. It is not syncing according to the settings which I have put. For ex: I have put it for sync every 10 min. So whenever I check the app, it shows last sync as 10:00 am i.e the time I synced it manually.

Also do let me know where I can see the settings? I used automatic setup just entered tee my username and password

Appreciate your help. Thanks

Hi Paris,

Thanks for your support. To respond to your queries. I think I have checked the scheduled email option in both global and local account using the steps you mentioned. I have uploaded some screenshots which will give you all the details. PFA. Let me know your thoughts.

The settings look good to me.

Can you please reboot the phone and see if starts to work?

Common reasons:

- The use of "memory optimizer" apps like Clean Master

- The use of "battery optimizer" apps

- Swiping the app "away" from Android's recent apps list

If none of the above applies, or doesn't help, please capture the issue in the app's debug log (see below).

Just enable the log with "raw data" enabled, and leave the app alone for 2-4 hours, then send me the log file (kmansoft / gmail).
