Hello,
Firstly I have to say, that AquaMail is a very good and nice App. We like it very much. If the problem we have with it could be removed, I intend to purchase it. (Not knowing if it is really a problem with AquaMail or a server-problem !)
Now the problem:
Now for two times we have problems to receive Emails in foreign countrys. We are from germany we last did a journey to Great Britain/Ireland. First in Scottland I used a WiFi Point inside a taxi and could there receice around 25 Emails from my provider in germany. Two days later we were on a second location in Scottland and I tried to receive Emails from another WiFi Point I was locked in. But from this moment on, we could never ever receive any mails with our mobiles. Also in Ireland and England. Always the message: "Continuing connection error to the access server" appears. The problem appears too while trying a retrieval from a 2. different server in Germany. The whole journey I tried to find out what could be the reason. Back In Germany I connected the mobile with my home WiFi and all Emails from the last week could be received immediately. What's wrong ? Is it a problem with the server or a problem with AquaMail ?
On the journey I thought it could be a problem with the preset "Quantity of Data" in AquaMail so I set it up from 5 KB to "No Limit", but no success.
Our 2 mobiles:
Samsung S4 mini, Android 4.4.2
Samsung S2
Thanks for someones help

Since you're travelling -- it's common for WiFi access points at hotels / airports / restaurants to only access web browsing traffic and block everything else (like email).
Feel free to try, say, K9 Mail as a sanity check.
Oh, never mind, I see you're back and it's working again. Same app, same settings, same servers.
So what was different? You were travelling.

Thank you, sorry I'm late with my answer.
You're sure right, that many access points maybe blocked for receiving Emails. But all ? We met other peoples who used the same wifi-points and it works on their mobiles. I never heard that they had problems. On this journey I tried after the first only working access around 10 - 15 different wifi-points in different countrys: restaurants, shops, public wifi points, railway, busses. It never works there again. Surprising, that it didn't work at least for one more time. Ok, if it is the real problem and there is no other solution, I have to check my Emails in future direct over the www, or will have to purchase a data package from my server during the stay outside.
Thank you for your Information.

Well, at this point, I can only add to this discussion if -- you're able to go back in time, and repeat your traveling with AquaMail's debug log enabled. Since that's most likely not possible, well...
Other than that, I'm not aware of any fundamental flaws in Aqua's network handling.
