Title: How do I hide message list when viewing a message (tablet)

I am a newcomer to AquaMail - having previously used Kaiten.

When I view a message the message list is still visible on the left (Nexus 9), even when I "maximise" the message.  How do I hide the message list?  If I use the tablet in portrait mode, the message list still takes up quite a lot of space.

App settings -> look and feel -> portrait mode -> change to "vertical, with full screen message view".
