Title: hotmail smtp-problems with aquamail pro

I have AquaMail pro.
There is a problem with hotmail, outgoing smtp server is not working anymore, tried manul settings, same problem, aquamail cannot connect to outlook smtp-server.
All other server like gmail, yahoo and telekom are working fine.
Any idea please, many thanks in advance

I'm 99% sure that the issue is not in the app, it's something "outside".

To Aqua, there is no difference between Hotmail and Gmail outgoing servers (for example).

Try rebooting the phone.

Just in case, the outgoing server for Hotmail is:

smtp-mail.outlook.com
STARTTLS (strict)
port 587

strange: outlook app and Android Email apps are working fine with hotmail smtp.
Rebooted Mobile ads Tablet
I also deleted hotmail account in aqua and tried to reinstall hotmailaccount, always the same problem, smtp server gives error,
same problem I have on my tablet only with aqua

Please try smtp.live.com (STARTTLS, port 587).

Or even this: smtp.glbdns2.microsoft.com.

many thanks, works fine with smtp.live, just sent a testmail and worked

I had the same aqua-settings on phone and tablet. May be hotmail don't like to be connected on the same smtp over one app over various equipments.
On phone I have now smtp.live and on tablet I have now smtp-outlook, both are working fine like this

I'd be surprised, but in theory, everything's possible.

Glad to hear it's working now (sounds like). Maybe it was just a temporary glitch on MS's side, or in your provider's DNS....
