Title: Emptying junk folder automatically
Post by: someone on March 21, 2015, 10:53:55 pm
I have my isp's spam filter so well tuned that for years it has not put anything into spam that it shouldn't.

Using Aquamail imap, could there be an option to automatically empty my junk folders at regular intervals? Like once a day or whatever?

Would be a great time saver.

I'm reluctant to implement automatic emptying of the Deleted folder if it syncs with the server, and your proposal falls under that too.

Reason is as Paris Geek described -- a server side folder may have messages moved there by other apps, so it seems risky:

"I mistakenly moved a message into Spam in Outlook, and now it's gone and it's all your app's fault".
