I like to write my texts in a markdown editor to be able to use formatted text, like bold, italic, etc.
This is working great when I share these text with the share menu to Gmail or the standard email app. But when sharing to AquaMail all formatting is lost. I can select all text and paste it in a new email in AquaMail and the all looks good, but it would be nicer being able to use the share menu.
Is there some kind of setting to establish this, or isn’t it possible in AquaMail right now? If it isn’t possible, would it be something that can be included in a future release?

Right now, yes, all shared text is stripped of formatting -- the rationale is that it may have some type of formatting that isn't editable (which I won't be able to represent in the editor).
If you can let me know the name of this markdown editor, I can take a look.

I use Draft and choose share as HTML. I also tried with Jotterpad and Journey, but all with the same result, of coarse.
Thanks for looking if anything will be possible to make this work!

Thanks, I'll take a look.

Installed JotterPad, got things to work (when Sharing as HTML from JotterPad)

Sounds good
, will it be in a future release or can I test it somewhere?

Yes, next development build, soon.

It's working in dev4! Thanks, this makes writing formatted emails from a phone so much easier... ;)
I was thinking, it would be even better to be able to write in Markdown in AquaMail directly. Would that be something that could be implemented in a future release?
Thanks again!

markdown - probably not... I don't see it as something with universal appeal...
