Title: IMAP Account
Post by: super_fossi on March 05, 2015, 04:41:59 pm
Hi,
just installes AquaMail.
I have a problem with my IMAP Account.
The settings are:
IMAP Server incomming:
91.190.150.187
and there I have a Username which is not my emailadress.
The same with outgoing emails

I try to add a new account and always get the message
"Netzwerkfehler"
What I am doing wrong?
I also did the unlock..

Thanks

Just tap Manual when adding the account (on the screen where you enter your email and password) and you'll be able to change the login as well as the server address.

As for "network error"'s -- be sure to use the right server address / encryption type / port number.

It looks like you have IMAP running with SSL on port 993 (which are defaults) and SMTP with SSL on port 465 (also defaults)...

...so most likely you'll only need to change the addresses of both servers, and maybe switch "SSL (strict)" to "SSL (accept any)" if your cert is self-signed.

Hi,
this is exactly what I did...
Anyway, it doesnt work.
Every time same notice: Netzwerkfehler from incomming Mailserver....
IP Adress is correct, also works with my other email-app...
Do you have any idea how to go ahead?
Thank you and regards
Andy

I always have one and just one idea -- please capture the issue in the app's debug log :)
