Title: clear notification for read email
Post by: Circle on January 12, 2015, 10:50:39 am
Hi

I was using AquaMail on my old HTC Desire and installed it again on my new Nexus 5 device. But I noticed the notifications for new email are not cleared on my Nexus after I've read the new mail on my PC. I am using AquaMail for a Gmail account using IMAP. The notifications are cleared when I remove the new email from my Gmail inbox by deleting or archiving (on my PC), but not when I just read them and leave them in the inbox.
Is there a setting I overlooked, since on my HTC the read/unread state was synced and the notification was removed without any problem.

Gmail's push mail implementation (the one open to third party apps) is deficient, it does not push changes to message flags (read/unread state).

Aqua has a workaround, the flags should update in about 10 minutes.
