Title: Get Messages for X Days
Post by: Aliden on December 19, 2014, 12:33:15 am
I previously had AquaMail configured to download the last X days of messages, but then I reset my phone, and now that I am trying to reconfigure it, I am unable to find the setting to change syncing from messages to days. I am using version 1.5.1.9 on Android 4.4.3.

I did some searching and checked the Settings > Mail, receiving > Message to sync option, but I can't find a "By time" option. Am I missing something obvious, or did that feature get removed?

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I'm not seeing a "By time" option there either. Is this something I have to enable somewhere?

AquaMail refuses to let me take a screenshot, but I actually don't have that option. So now my question shifts from "How do I get to that option" to "What did I manage to do when setting up that made it so the option isn't there?"

If I have the account set up as an EWS account, I follow your instructions to the letter, up until the point where the "By time period" option isn't appear. If I have it set up as an IMAP account, which I just realized and did, everything works out perfectly.

I didn't realize that accounts had to be IMAP in order to support the syncing over a time period. Now I learned something new.

"Sync by number of days" is only for IMAP right now.

I'm going to investigate it for EWS (Exchange) soon, as part of version 1.6.
