Title: Solved issues without posting the solutions?
Post by: Teachermac on December 05, 2014, 08:12:21 pm
Kostya,

I think it would be very helpful if the solutions to issues were posted for all to see.

Finding that a solution was found for an issue and after scrolling through all the posts only to find that it was solved without details is very frustrating!

Thanks,

Greg

The forum has search (and it's not necessary to register to use it -- or to view any found messages).

That's for issues where me or one of the "certified AquaMail experts" was able to post a solution.

On the other hand, sometimes I have to ask for a debug log -- and then the outcome varies. May end up being a bug in Aqua, or unreasonable / wrong settings, or a bug somewhere else (mail server, device's software, etc).

And then sometimes people post questions / issues here, and never respond to my request(s) for more info.

So it's not a clear "question / solution" pattern every time. I never delete any old messages from the forum, though, except spam.
