I have been running AQUAMAIL for two years and all is working right. I just changed to a SAMSUNG DUOS i9082 phone and I am now having a problem with PUSH notification.
If I open AQUAMAIL, the A sign appears on the notification bar and everything os ok but after some time (+-30 minutes) the A disappears and I don't get any messages until I manually open AQUAMAIL.
I am running Android 4.1 and AQUAMAIL PRO 1.5.0.19.
Thanks.

Hello. Energy saving policies are off.

I'd need to see a debug log before I can comment.
Enable logging with "raw session data", make sure push is running, and just leave the app alone until the push icon disappears (meaning you've captured the issue). Send me the log, and I'll take a look.
Please see the link below, under "Creating a log if something doesn’t work right".

I have the same issue with a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini.
Not after 30 minutes, but one or two times a day.

Guys, I don't have telepathic abilities and can't perform magic rituals with your phones either. Debug logs or it didn't happen :)

You don't have a crystal ball for your support ::)
but now seriously, i enabled the logging and still waiting for the issue.

Hello,
sorry i can't collect logs. I switched on the logging for two days and nothing happened.
After I turned it off last night, the error occurred again today. Well, I can live with the error, because after the next sync the push will works again.

My guess is that you enabled logging, but did not set the "output location" to "File log-AquaMail.txt" -- the default is system log.
I should probably remove the setting from production builds, leaving logcat only for my own use...

Sorry, No, you disunderstand me, not the log did not work, the error has not occurred. But today the erroroccurred 2 times. I have now enabled the logging again. hope the error comes a 3 time.

Ah. Got it.

Just going to throw it out there, but having a few Samsung devices I learnt this, swiping away recent apps makes it so they won't work until you run it again, unless they're implemented to have a workaround for it. That is both with status bar notification and without, too.

From Google's point of view, it's again one of those "working as intended" -- already broken in 4.3, then it got worse in 4.4 (the app would be killed, but its status bar notification would stay there) -- haven't checked yet how much worse they made it in 5.0.... :)

I have the same problem with Huawei Y300 and Android 4.1.1 Alert emails from a camera arrive on the mailserver on time and stay there, as push is not working ... fine. It happens several times a day and nearly every night. :'(

I still don't have a crystal ball.
