That's a 'lot' of information which you give us here... 8)

Device: Aquamail Pro
Mail Provider: runbox.com
Mail Settings: help.runbox.com/email-client-settings/#SecureEncrypted_IMAP_POP_and_SMTP
Have tried automatic and manual
Get error messages saying IMAP and SMTP servers not valid with all SSL and Signin security options.
I am sure it is my error but I just don't see it.
Thanks
Dave

Okay, let's see...
I got a test account and everything is working fine.
In AquaMail's settings "Add an account" choose 'Internet mail' > on the next (first) screen please enter your whole email - address and your password > use manual setup > next screen: choose IMAP and change incoming server from 'imap.runbox.com" to 'secure.runbox.com'
... other settings as described on runbox.com help site:
http://help.runbox.com/email-client-settings/
Important for the login data:
your username is only the part of the email address before the @ symbol.
Email address: username@runbox.com
Username: username
On the next screen please also change the outgoing server from 'smtp.runbox.com' to 'secure.runbox.com'
Details you can find in the attached screenshots.

Using "secure." in server names -- rather than the common "imap." and "smtp." -- certainly makes this service 200% more secure :)
I just added runbox.com to Aqua's automatic setup database (for 1.5.1), including for custom domains.

Does it work now or not

Aqua now knows to use "secure.*" for @runbox.com accounts... and it connects fine -- but doesn't log in, since I don't have an account there.
If you keep your trial account for a few more days, you'll be able to test it in the next 1.5.1-dev version.

Per the above, please try using Manual account setup and then:
Make sure that incoming server name is secure.runbox.com, not imap.runbox.com. I believe recent AquaMail versions already know this.
Change the login (user@runbox.com) to just user without @runbox.com (again this is base on above messages).
Press Next for outgoing server settings, probably same thing with user name there.
If this works, please follow up, I'll change the app's preset for @runbox to omit the @runbox.com part.

2 years later?
Some new discovery, or just late night posting? ;-)

Darn. So that's why runbox.com seemed familiar.
Neither actually - this message was marked "*new*" / unread, so I responded (and didn't bother looking at the date).
