Title: 'open in' folder
Post by: Skip50 on October 17, 2014, 01:55:17 pm
When I open the app I would like my smart folder to be opened. This feature seems to have stopped working. My setup has 'open in' set to 'smart folder', but it just opens the account list screen. Any ideas?

Do you "exit" the app with the Home or Back key?

Home, by design (Android design) is like Windows "minimize" -- it saves an app's current state and will resume from there.

Back, by design (Android design) is fully closing, forgetting current state -- so next time it starts from a clean slate.

One other thing -- if any of your accounts have an authentication error, Aqua will start in the account list, to let the user see the error.

Aah thank you. I do have an authentication error as one of my accounts is now closed. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated!

On my Nexus 7 I cannot get Aqua Mail to open in the selected "start the app in" folder. Regardless of the selected folder and how I close the app, it always open in the accounts list. I also have Aqua Mail on my Galaxy S4 and here the problem doesn't exist.

Any suggestions?

Must be two panel mode. I'll take a look.

Hmm. Just tried it on a tablet in two panel mode -- working as expected.

Starts up in "account list on the left / message list on the right" -> with the chosen folder highlighted on the left, and its message list visible on the right...
