Hi,
Since the last update (or possibly the previous one) my Aquamail notification badge is not working correctly. I am using Apex Launcher and Notifier on a Note 3 (Kit Kat 4.4.2).
Badges had previously been working fine, but now when I have a new mail and I unlock my phone the badge appears very briefly (less than a one second) and then disappears. If I open another app and then close it, the badge appears back again for about one second and then disappears again. This behavior continues until I read the message. All other app notifier badges work fine - only Aquamail has the issue.
Can you help at all?
Andy

There were no changes to Apex integration code in latest Aqua update :) And I just installed Apex (on a Galaxy Note 3 with 4.4.2) and checked it out -- and as usual, it worked fine.
Please check:
- Aqua was installed after Apex
- "External notifiers" is enabled in Apex settings, under "notifications"
- You've not selected Aqua as your Email app, or change any other related setting --> Apex Pro + "external notifiers" is all you need
Please try:
- Removing the Aqua shortcut from the home screen and adding it back
Other than that, debug log please.
With the log enabled, please mark a few messages in Aqua unread, then some of them read again, etc, so I can see how the counter gets sent to Apex.
Then with the log still there, reproduce the counter going missing.

The issue turned out to be an Apex setting -- it was set to track the unread count in Samsung's Email app -- and apparently getting confused.
