Title: Automatic resizing of attached images
Post by: someone on August 24, 2014, 07:44:08 am
My phone camera takes high resolution photos. So simply attaching some of these to an email message without resizing them down is not ideal because of the large file sizes. Of course I could reduce the camera resolution but I prefer having the high resolution images.

When I use Thunderbird in Windows, I have an addon that, when I click on "send", automatically offers to reduce the image sizes of attachments. That is much more convenient than manually reducing the image size in a photo editing app as a separate procedure before proceeding to attach the image to an email.

Is there an android app or trick that will offer to resize images attached to an email when the email is sent?

Thank you very much.

I've had quick pic installed for a long time but never bothered exploring the cropped image option since I usually want to send the entire photo. But I didn't know about image shrink lite which sounds very interesting. Thank you.

I had ignored this app because of user comments that said it didn't work.

Just installed and tried it by sending myself a resized image.

Excellent! Just what I needed. Thanks ParisGeek.
