I'm curious why Shaw accounts need special treatment, but that's not the issue now. The preset no longer works. The Exchange server is now wm.shaw.ca (see https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-1064), not mail.shaw.ca. (I have no idea when it changed.) It seems the preset forces the old server to be used, making it impossible to add an account.

There is no EWS at wm.shaw.ca, I assume they went with ActiveSync. Aqua uses EWS, not ActiveSync.
The preset uses Internet type mail, not Exchange type mail, and the settings there are consistent with Shaw's support page:
https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-1056
Incoming: POP3 (no IMAP), pop.shaw.ca, port 110, no encryption
Outgoing: mail.shaw.ca, port 587, STARTTLS encryption
I just verified that these servers are still there. Don't have an account @shaw.ca, so can't verify authentication.
Note that these incoming server settings don't use encryption. This is per Shaw's help page, above.
Right now it's possible to use SSL encryption + port 995, but I'm not going to change the app's preset -- if it's not officially documented, it can stop working at any time.
And of course there is nothing to prevent anyone from using Manual account setup and entering any settings to his / her liking.

Thanks for the prompt reply, even if it's not good news for me.
I've been using POP3 for Shaw, but got the impression I could now use Exchange and finally mirror my desktop Outlook mail to my phone. In other words, wishful thinking.
I've found the single-folder history sufficient while I still rely on Outlook for folder-based organization and archiving of messages. This involves the use of my Gmail account and some Outlook rules (in a manner I might improve if it didn't make my brain hurt) to get a result that suits me.

Well, I'm not the only one who chose to not implement ActiveSync -- for the same reason, MS's complicated licensing.
I mean, look at Thunderbird for example. Built-in IMAP support, and a third party plugin for EWS.
If you're a paying customer of Shaw, why not demand better? IMAP?
