Title: How to adjust the search function?
Post by: NL0031 on August 05, 2014, 01:22:48 pm
Hi everybody,

Can someone explain how to adjust the search function so that it included mail in Trash, Sent etc. ? It happens a lot that I search for a specific email that the search function can't find while after extra effort I can find it by browsing the various folders myself.

Thanks

I wish it was that simpel, but the search function is a horror. Then there are Deleted and Trash folders, the last one is hard to find though while it can contain important mails.
Also, mails that I need to keep are disappearing from the inbox folders frequently, no idea why but with Aquamail I am searching for lost mails everyday...

Sounds mystery. I couldn't confirm this behaviour of Aquamail...mmh.

About messages disappearing -- I can venture two guesses.

1 - Your mail account is with GoDaddy

2 - Your mail account is configured as IMAP in Aqua, and as POP3 in a desktop mail app, and this mail app is configured to delete messages from the server after it checks mail.
