Title: The font re-sizes when replying to emails
Post by: stojan on July 30, 2014, 04:39:15 pm
Hi , i have set the font size of 10 (normal size) to use for composing and reading emails. When i compose an email the font is correct it stays at 10p, however when i reply to emails the font size goes to 12p even if i select normal size when replying to emails. I just find it very weird that when i compose a new email font size is correct, but when i reply to an email the font size is increased.

Thanks

When replying, Aqua carries any CSS styles from the original email (without it, in the general sense, things can look completely wrong).

Sometimes those CSS styles have a rule for <P> (a paragraph of text) with a font size. I think Outlook does this.

I've got this written down on my to-do.

PS - I understand this can be annoying, but then Outlook's default 12pt doesn't seem to bother anyone :)

Is this a bug of Aquamail or of Outlook...?

As of a few days ago (-beta10), Aqua uses the configured "font size for rich text" (app settings -> composing and sending) for *new* content too.

By *new* I mean whatever *you* entered in your new message or when replying.

There is also a setting for the default typeface (default / sans / serif / mono).

Please try the size setting (and maybe the typeface setting too) and see if it helps.
